The Handicraft industry of the south of Morocco is a very famous
activity, the area is specialized in the manufacture of leather and has one of
most famoustanneries in Morocco, the craftsmen of taroudant are
specialized in iron, the wrought iron,woodcarving, the jewellery, the
carpets as well as the ironwork.
The Handicraft industry of leather gathers several
specialities, namely: the sandals, Turkish
slippers, bags, hand bags, poufs,etc ... whileiron gathers: wrought iron, beds, chairs, candlesticks, doors,
the executives mirror; the work of wood
either simple wood or painted wood, gathers: tables, chairs, beds, sideboards, night
tables as well as the small articles of decoration carved out of wood.
